Can a Flex AIR app on Android start up as a service on boot? -

i understand can create service in android , start on boot, can used location updates, communicate server, etc.

however wanted find out if possible in air. air runs on android, can set 'service' , start on boot (sitting in background)?

thank you!

your application running inside air runtime not service. short answer unfortunately no.

also air runtime whopping 16mb, (and more users) better if write native android service.
