video processing - Which colour space should I apply Image sharpening filter? -

i trying apply image sharpening 2d filter kernel(laplacian) on image in proprietary image/video processing pipeline(from camera raw final jpeg/mpeg). plan perform 2d convolution of laplacian kernel 2d image array sharpen image. questions :-

what suitable colour space apply image sharpening filter best output image quality

a) should apply filter on each component(r,g, & b) in rgb space?

or

b)should apply in yuv space , on y component (or should applied on u , v components)?

any pointers useful.

edit: asked here, since plan programatically, myself. no external tool.

probably y in yuv.

in rgb have careful not introduce color fringing.

binding - How can you make the color of elements of a WPF DrawingImage dynamic? -
