google maps - Geocoding - the should I use API or database? -

i need users able regularly geocode addresses, not onto map - need able translate address set of lat/long coordinates site can react accordingly.

it seems google doesn't want use geocoding service unless plotting on map. on other hand, want make sure service reliable , last long time.

i'd consider downloading kind of address database , running requests myself if knew find it.

any ideas?

a alternative google geocoding api simplegeo (no affiliation). more liberal when comes terms of service, meaning have fewer restrictions of can data.

on other hand, remember quote founder saying non-us data not on same level (or better) than, example, data google.

binding - How can you make the color of elements of a WPF DrawingImage dynamic? -
